The Nakiri household could be pretty intimidating to stay in, even for Ryo. This is mostly due to Alice's father. The man is very protective of both his wife and his daughter. Ryo knows he has to be extremely careful about what he does while in the man's house, which is why he hadn't attempted to live his bedroom at all.
It's just past midnight and the house has winded down a lot. Everyone there has gone to their rooms, Alice and her parents both stayed on the upper level of the house while Ryo stayed on the bottom floor.
Had he wanted to, he could have had a room on the upper level. But he much preferred where his room is located now. He felt like he has a level of privacy that he might not otherwise get.
Curtains are closed, leaving only the faint glow of moon light to somewhat flow in. Though seeing in the room is still no easy task. At least once your eyes adjusted to the dark, you could find your way around a bit better.
He's just lying in bed, his hands resting behind his head when he feels a slight shift in the bed like someone is getting in it. He turns his gaze in their direction and tries to make out their face.
